Jay Blakesberg is a rising star amongst American rock music photographers. Growing up in Clark, New Jersey, he became interested in photography during high school, and would borrow his brother’s camera and take it with him to rock shows. In 1985 he moved to the San Francisco area to shoot concerts and pursue magazine work. His work now appears regularly in numerous national and international publications including Rolling Stone, Guitar Player, Guitar World, Time, Newsweek, Entertainment Weekly, and MOJO. He still resides in the Bay Area and works as a freelance music and advertising photographer.
